social A very special treasure hunt

Woohoo might just be the perfect word to sum up last Thursday’s event!

As I mentioned in my previous article, Ford have teamed up with the boutique fashion chain JOY and have hidden thousands of little Ford Ka’s in their stores every Friday in September 2009. Each miniature found wins you £10 worth of JOY vouchers (and on the last Friday of the month some will even be worth £100).

To launch this series of special Fridays, 14 bloggers and 14 of their readers were invited to go on a treasure hunt of their own at the Bankside JOY store in London last Thursday.

Despite a strong wind, it was a beautiful day over London and cupcakes and champagne put everybody in a shopping mood. We had hidden the Ka miniatures in various places throughout the store beforehand but they remained hidden for only a short time due the impressive investigative skills of our bloggers, who each won £60 worth of JOY vouchers.

The gorgeous clothes, cute jewellery and fun books of the store were then ready to be tried on, shared, discussed, photographed by everyone present that night. I was taking pictures but I still managed to envy Sherin and her adorable little blue bag, eat a few cupcakes (a must-be of any social event don’t you think?), want some of Ozzy’s jewellery and run around everywhere to admire everybody’s choice of clothes.

Here’s the video of the event:

Everyone had a really good time, and if you want to go on a treasure hunt of your own at your local JOY store courtesy of the new Ford Ka make sure you check www.gofindit.net for more details and let us know if you find your own Ka miniature by replying to @gofindit on Twitter.

social Have you found me yet?

The Ka miniatures

Are you feeling a bit depressed like me with the gloomy weather that has settled over our heads since the beginning of September?

Well, I’ve got some good news for you. If you are in London in September, make sure to head to your nearest JoY store tomorrow and every following Fridays for the rest of the month.

Thousands of Ford Ka miniatures will be hidden in JoY stores across the UK. Each miniature you find will win you an instant £10 JoY voucher. And on the last Friday of the month some of them will even be worth £100.

Make sure you have a look at this little film which explains it better than I do:

For full Terms and Conditions, make sure to check Go Find It.

We have invited bloggers from London to experience their own treasure hunt tonight. We will be live tweeting, filming and taking pictures so make sure you follow us on Twitter on @gofindit and check the blog tomorrow for a full report!

If you have been reading the Go Find It blog, I’m sure you already know that I regularly go to France, especially to Paris. However have I mentioned that I lived there for a while?

There is a place where I was used to go with my friends that I highly recommend to you, it’s called La Flèche d’Or. And I think I would be pretty happy to include a new visit there in the music trip I’m still planning, because it is really the place to go if you like music and good parties. To help you to figure out what I’m talking about, I would say that La Flèche d’Or is a both concert hall and a club where people go to with the last metro on a Saturday night and leave to take the first one early morning on a Sunday.

Whatever kind of music you fancy, you will always find a band that you can enjoy. It is not rare either to hear or to read that up-and-coming DJs or Indie-Rock bands started their careers there.

However, even if you really like to dress-up on Saturday night, remember not to wear shoes that are to fragile, first because it is often full of enthousiastic fans of good sounds and also because I’m sure you won’t resist jumping everywhere like I usually do.
