It’s incredible how many cool things are pinned on the Go Find It map, it’s really a wide source of quirky places around Europe and an essential guide to review before travelling to a new city.
This morning I was browsing the map and I found an incredible hat shop in Santiago de Compostela called “Sombreria Iglesias”. This hat shop has been open since 1912, and it’s of course one of the oldest and most classical shops in the city.
So how has a hat shop been able to survive almost 100 years? The secret is a mixture of products and service. You can find high quality products for a good price and have a personal advisor who will help you to find the most suitable hat.
So if you’re looking for a hat you know where to go!

This weekend my best friend and I went to a picnic in Victoria Park (Mile End, London). It was organised by a cool little café called The Pavilion. The instructions for the picnic were to bring your own blanket and something to drink whilst they would provide a seafood barbeque. Since me and my friend don’t eat seafood we brought our own food as well as a blanket and some wine.
We sat down on the grass and enjoyed the nice summer weather and looked at all the cool people. It was almost bizarre looking around: everyone looked like they were from somewhere between the 50’s and the 80’s, it felt a bit like being in Grease or some other old school movie. The atmosphere was really cool and laidback and I could have stayed there for ages.
Even though there isn’t a picnic all the time, I really recommend you to go to The Pavilion just for a coffee. It’s very nice and it’s a perfect place to hang out with your friends on a warm summer day. You get to sit in a park with a pond and a fountain just in front of you and get to be served by nice looking Aussie guys, is there anything better than that?
A small disclaimer though: I can’t promise that you’ll be served by gorgeous Aussies. However, from what I’ve heard, The Pavilion is owned by Australians and the people working behind the BBQ on Saturday were definitely good looking

Last night I had a good excuse to go out, as one of my friends was playing with her band in Islington. The venue called Buffalo Bar is quite easy to find, just a few meters away from Highbury & Islington station and is famous for the quality of its indie rock gigs. I found the atmosphere quite friendly. The stage is in the middle of the room so you can get really close to the bands playing.
The event was held by Koko Von Napoo who was celebrating the launch of their new EP alongside with a bunch of up-and-coming indie rock bands. The music ranged from dreamy electro pop to punchy rock. I enjoyed the show, although I was a bit disappointed by the lack of support from the audience.
This venue is also quite famous for its flavoured vodka shots, including strawberry, cherry, pear, pistachio, and choc-mint. If you’re a beer amateur, be aware that there are no draught beers available, only bottles. Anyway, you should really give it a try as it’s one of the most entertaining places in Islington!
